Roopville Elementary School makes a positive impact on student achievement through effective teamwork. This includes a strong veteran staff, great students, a supportive community, and positive, caring administrators. Students in every grade level receive a quality education in the four academic areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. All instruction is implemented and guided by the Georgia Performance Standards and/or the Georgia Quality Core Curriculum. Learning-focused strategies are implemented throughout all academic areas of the curriculum. Best practices such as prioritizing curriculum, differentiated instruction, integrating technology, and reading and writing across the curriculum are also pervasive. Teachers continually assess instruction and student performance through the use of benchmark assessments, Star Reader & Star Math, and Georgia On-Line Assessment. A variety of texts, manipulatives, instructional materials/programs such as SRA Direct Instruction, Step Up to Writing, and Accelerated Reader/Vocabulary are utilized in day-to-day instruction.
Early Intervention Program (EIP)
